Spring Runoff at the Crystal Mill
Crystal Mill is an iconic Colorado location and is well-photographed, but never with this kind of spring runoff. The snowfall in the 2007-2008 winter was a record across much of Colorado, and the spring melt was epic. The 4x4 road to the mill didn't even open until late June due to snow and high water. When the road did open, I found the creek roaring past the mill as I had never seen before or since.
