Half Dome Sunset, Yosemite NP, CA
After the sun sets below the horizon in the High Sierras, light from the setting sun races across the atmosphere creating alpenglow on the peaks of the Sierras. After a cloudy and uninspiring sunset, the sky and rocks suddenly turned a bright fuschia, as if a light switch had been hit. I had to keep reminding myself to photograph what I saw as I stood there in awe of one of nature' great light shows
