Fall is a wonderfull time of the year in Yosemite. The park glows with the color of the leaves, with opportunities for great photography everywhere. With the Merced River flowing gently at this time of the year, I was able to find a calm pool on the riverbank covered in floating leaves dropped from a large Oak overhanging the river. I knew I had found a great location even before a well-known Yosemite-based photographer began shooting over my shoulder.
