Abstract
Eucalyptus Bark
I was walking toward the ocean in Andrew Molera State Park (Big Sur, CA) past a grove of eucalyptus trees when I saw this vibrant bark on one of the trees. As a photographer, I take pictures first and ask questions later. Only when I returned home and did a little research did I find that these colors were most likely created by a mature tree shedding its bark in the fall.
